Update filters allow you to setup rules for modifying an object. Once the filter has been setup you can then apply it to multiple objects at the same time. Update filters in + modules work much the same ways as update filters in the old modules.
Editing
Update filters are edited in pretty much the same ways as normal filters (see Filters), the UI looks very similar and once you are familiar with editing filters you should be able to edit update filters as well.
Applying
Update filters are applied from the search page for a given object: mark one or more objects from a search result and then click on the … icon in the top right corner of the search result and select Update filter.
