12. Notifications

← Cross module functions

The bell in the top right corner holds your notifications, for example when you have been added as a subscriber on a task. The number on the bell is how many of them are unread.

The list

Click the bell to open the list. It shows your 15 newest notifications. Each one shows who it is from (their photo or initials), the text, and how long ago it arrived. Hold the mouse over the time to see the exact date and time.

Click a notification to open the thing it is about. View all notifications at the bottom opens the full list.

Read and unread

An unread notification has a pink dot. It stays unread until you do one of these:

  • Click the notification.

  • Click the pink dot.

  • Choose Mark as read from its menu.

To make a notification unread again, hold the mouse over it, click … and choose Mark as unread.

All or Unread

The filter at the top switches between All and Unread. All is the default. Unread shows only the notifications you have not read yet.

Pinning

Hold the mouse over a notification, click … and choose Pin. A pinned notification stays at the top of the list with a pin icon until you choose Unpin. Pinning does not change whether it is read or unread.

Mark all

Click … next to the Notifications heading and choose Mark all as read. When everything is already read, the same menu offers Mark all as unread instead.

The counter

The number on the bell counts unread notifications only. It changes as soon as you mark one or all of them as read or unread. Above 99 it shows 99.
