Project Overview is a young feature, and some of what you might expect is not there yet. This page collects those things in one place, so you know where the edges are before you build a way of working around them.
Nothing here loses your data. These are things the view does not yet do, not things that go wrong.
Capacity is something you read, not something we calculate
Putting every project on one timeline makes capacity visible. Empty space is room for more work, and bars stacking up in the same weeks is a period under pressure.
That reading is yours to make. Project Overview does not calculate a capacity figure, and it does not colour the bars green, orange and red according to load. Bar colours come from the status or type of the underlying project, so they tell you what kind of work a bar is, not how hard the period is.
Views cannot be saved yet
You cannot save a named set of filters and call it up again for a particular meeting. What you can rely on is that the view remembers your own last state: period, filters, sorting and columns. Returning to it tomorrow costs you nothing.

All three levels are always shown
Projects, milestones and tasks are all present in the list. You cannot switch a whole level off to get a simpler picture, though you can collapse individual projects and milestones, or collapse everything at once, which gets you most of the way there.
You can choose which columns each of the three levels shows, up to five per level.
Searching finds project titles
The search box matches the titles of your projects. It does not look inside milestone or task titles, and it does not search the other columns. To narrow the list by anything else, such as type, status, customer type or team, use the filters instead.
A few smaller things

Sorting offers three orders: alphabetically, by project start date, and by project creation date. Sorting by priority or progress is not available.

There is no “Today” button. To get back to the current period, pick it in the period selector.

Custom filters are personal to you, and shared or public filters are not offered here. They are also only available where your projects come from the project register rather than from your task list.

Large plans take a moment. With a great many projects in view, the screen can take a while to build, and there is no progress indicator while it does. It has not stalled.

Small screens are not catered for yet. Project Overview expects a desktop-sized window.
Two things worth being deliberate about
Once you save a replan, there is no one-click way back. While you are dragging, Cancel restores everything, and that safety net is real. But it only exists until you press Save changes. After that, returning to the old plan means moving things back yourself, so it is worth pausing before you save a large rearrangement.
If your projects come from the project register, tasks do not always follow a move. Moving a project shifts its milestones as you would expect. Tasks that sit in your task list rather than under a milestone keep their own dates, so check them after a large move.
If you work with project tasks instead, everything underneath follows correctly.
