Main groups

Main groups allows you to divide Microbizz data such as CRM data up into different groups, so only a member of the correct group can see and interact with the relevant data. This is useful if your company have several divisions where each division have their own customers.

All data attached to such CRM objects are also limited by the main group, so tasks, invoices etc. attached to a customer, which is a member of a main group, is also treated as belonging to that main group. Be aware though that users can see tasks if they are responsible or planned to the task no matter how main groups are set.

A user can be assigned to several main groups at the same time, but must switch between them in the interface, making it very clear which main group is being operated on. The switching is done using a dropdown menu at the very top of the page, next to the user name.

System metadata such as task statuses, product units etc. are shared between main groups.

Main groups and integrations

Most integrations supports main groups meaning that you can have one integration for one main group and another integration for another main group. If main groups are enabled, you can select which main group an integration should apply to, in the integration settings.

If you change the main group of an object, remember to also change the integration, as the object otherwise can be moved back into the old main group.
