Data export

(You need to understand the basic concept of export filters to use the data export function.)

The data export function allows you to export data from Microbizz, either by uploading it to a FTP-server or sending it by mail.

NOTE: Microbizz doesn't provide a builtin FTP-server. Instead you need to provide it yourself or hire it from your Microbizz vendor.

You can access this function from the INTEGRATION menu, by selecting DATA EXPORT.

FTP export

To create a new FTP export, press NEW FTP CONNECTION and fill in the following form.

  • Title: A title for the exporter, so you can recognize it later.
  • Server: The server name for the FTP-server, such as ftp.microbizz.dk
  • User name: The user name used for accessing the FTP-server.
  • Password: The password for the FTP-server.
  • Use FTPS: Check this to use the more secure FTPS protocol.
  • Folder: Indicate in which folder the file should be saved.
  • File name: Indicate the file name that should be used.
  • Export filter: Select which export filter to use for exporting data.
  • Run automatically: Check this if you want the importer to run automatically each day. Otherwise you will have to trigger it.
  • Don't upload if file exists: If a file with this filename already exists on the server, then the export will be aborted.
  • Send mail on error: If you fill an email address here, you will receive a mail, if any error occurs during export.

Mail export

  • Title: A title so you can recognize it later.
  • Mail address: The address to send the mail to.
  • Subject: The subject to use in the mail.
  • File name: Indicate the file name that should be used.
  • Export filter: Select which export filter to use for exporting data.
  • Run automatically: Check this if you want the importer to run automatically each day. Otherwise you will have to trigger it.
  • Send mail on error: If you fill an email address here, you will receive a mail, if any error occurs during export.

Exporting data

If you have set up the exporter to run automatically it will run once each day, typically during nighttime. Otherwise you will have to trigger the export manually, by selecting the DO EXPORT item, from the pencil menu next to the exporter.
